Paving stones are the most popular paving material. Using it to harden the substrate around a home or business is a very good solution because it is durable and comes in a wide range of colors and patterns. An additional advantage is the great ease of its location, even a person with no experience in construction will perfectly cope with this task.
The type of paving stones used depends only on our expectations. Another cube will be used to harden the driveway, another to make the path leading to the house, and another to make decorative alleys in the garden space. The choice of the type of paving stone determines its use.<

Classification according to the material used for production
The material used for the production of paving stones has a direct impact on its price, functionality of the finished surface and aesthetic value.
Concrete cube
High durability and attractive price make concrete cubes invariably the most popular. The production technology of concrete paving stones is extremely simple, the cubes are made of compacted concrete mix, which is vibrated and pressed. It is produced in single-layer and double-layer options. Concrete cubes are associated with unsightly gray elements used to harden surfaces in urban spaces. Nothing could be further from the truth, contemporary concrete paving stones are produced in a wide range of colors and shapes. This allows not only practical, but also aesthetic development of the space around the house.
Stone cube
Stone cubes are characterized by a very attractive appearance and high durability. It is a much more expensive choice than concrete cube, but the effect is worth the price. Stone cube is made of natural stones, the most common is granite cube, but sandstone, basalt, limestone and syenite are also used for production. Considerable durability and high resistance to negative temperatures means that it can be used to harden any surface.
Fieldstone
The fieldstone path is nothing more than the once extremely popular “cobblestones”. The irregular shape of the stones creates a charming structure of atmospheric urban cobblestone streets. This type of material will look great in a garden with austere and industrial atmosphere.
A luminous cube made of resin-acrylic materials
Tracks made of resin-acrylic materials have turned out to be a hit in recent years. This kind of glowing paving stone is powered by LED technology. The glow of light spreads over the entire cube, so no additional path lighting is needed. It should be noted that the cost of such path lighting is much lower than in the case of traditional lighting. With the use of RGB LED technology, the cube can blaze not only in neutral white, but in all colors. It would seem that something so beautiful cannot last. However, the lighting time is defined as about 15 years, and the path made of such a block shows high abrasion resistance and durability. Resin-acrylic cube can be successfully used to build paths, driveways and parking lots.
Division according to the specification of production
Various methods are used in the production of paving stones. As a result, the cubes differ in the surface structure, so we can successfully choose the most suitable pattern for us.
Industrial paving stones
The simplest paving stone, most often used on large surfaces in urban space. The color of the cube is gray, it is characterized by simple shape and high durability.
Noble paving stones
Due to the special processing, the noble paving stone guarantees much better aesthetic values than the usual – industrial ones. In the process of processing, interesting shapes and various colors are created.
Cube with a washed surface – smooth and slippery surface.
A brick with a brushed surface – porous surface, a large melange of colors.
A split-surface cube – resembles a split stone.
Antiqued paving stone – the look of old cobbles
A large selection of shapes and colors
When choosing the cube needed to arrange the surface around the house, remember to choose the right forms and colors so that the house’s surroundings constitute a coherent whole with the building and the garden arrangement. You should also remember about the appropriate dimensions of the cubes – a cube with a thickness of 4 cm is sufficient for alleys and walking paths, while when making a driveway to the garage or parking lot, use cubes with a thickness of 6-8 cm.
A wide range of colors and shades gives unlimited possibilities to create even the most sophisticated surface patterns in various architectural styles. In addition to the traditional gray and red, you can buy cubes in the colors of gray, brown, graphite, green, yellow, white and even blue, or shades of natural stone. The huge number of sizes and shapes is also surprising, so you can use cubes in the shape of fish scales, fans or wedges to create various patterns.
